I earned my fine art degree from Emily Carr in 2004 and spent the next five years working as a sculptor. Seeking a change of scenery, I relocated to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for a few years. During my time there, I collaborated with a furniture maker while also continuing to refine my sculpting skills. My passion for woodworking and furniture grew, prompting me to return to the Pacific West Coast to undertake a year of study at the Inside Passage School of Fine Woodworking.
In 2011, I established Kite Studios in Vancouver, where I initially crafted custom wood furniture and cabinetry. Over time, my projects expanded to include tenant improvement jobs and eventually full house renovations. The satisfaction I derived from completing these comprehensive projects led me to contemplate a career shift towards project management.
Currently, I am a project manager for residential construction after earning a degree in the Architecture Technology program from BCIT. I also and teach woodworking on the side.
